Professor Dorf researches and teaches entrepreneurship, innovation management, management of non-profits, new venture management, venture capital management, and technology policy and technology management. He is a consultant in engineering project development, commercialization, innovation,management and new business ventures. He teaches courses in New and Small Business Ventures, and Sustainable and Responsible Business.
Professor Dorf has authored more than 30 books, including his latest, Entrepreneurial Ventures (McGraw-Hill, 2004). The textbook, which is used in the Graduate School of Management’s New Business Ventures course, discusses the essence of entrepreneurial activity and its importance to the life of capitalism and growth.
