Assistant Professor Katrina Ellis concentrates her research on the role of underwriters in the initial public offering process and trading in the IPO after-market on Nasdaq. A former Fulbright Scholar, she has received several prestigious honors for her research, including The Journal of Finance Smith Breeden Distinguished Paper Prize for 2000, the Nasdaq Award for the Best Paper on Capital Formation at the 2000 Western Finance Association meetings, and the Cornerstone Research Award for the Best Paper at the 1999 Western Finance Association meetings.
